This wife’s name is not on the deed of her husband’s house…

Do I have ownership IF my name is not on the deed?

States treat these issues differently. California, where you live, Arizona, Idaho, Louisiana, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico and Washington treat marital assets as community property, meaning that property bought during the marriage is divided equally. In “equitable distribution” states, assets are divided based on many factors, including the incomes at the time of marriage, duration of the marriage, the custodial parent’s needs and future financial circumstances.
